The Better Reporting of Emissions, Air Trends, and Health Effects (BREATHE)
Providing high-quality, accessible air quality and pollution data to high-risk cities around the world.
Our Work
Air pollution is a major health risk, yet many of the highest-risk communities lack reliable and accessible data on their air quality. The Better Reporting of Emissions, Air Trends, and Health Effects (BREATHE) project is working to fill this gap by generating and providing high-quality, accessible air quality and pollution data to high-risk cities around the world. By using state-of-the-art satellite air quality measures and leveraging the power of information spread through social media, BREATHE is working to get this vital data to the most impacted cities and create a model for cost-effective, sustainable community action to improve air quality.
